Preferences

The screenshots in this section show Botch (WoD) but are equally applicable to Beat (CofD).

Botch and Beat support both user-specific and server-wide preferences that alter bot behavior. Access these preferences through the /preferences command. The menu shows the current preferences. For instance, if it says Use Emojis (Self), that means the bot will show emojis. If it says Don’t Use Emojis (Self), then it will not show emojis. Click the buttons to toggle between options.

At present, the only adjustable preference is the emoji setting. More settings may arrive in the future.

User preferences

These preferences are adjustable by any user; however, they may be overridden by server settings.

Setting	Description
Use Emojis (Self)	Whether to use emojis or raw text in command output. Default: ON.

Server preferences

These are availabe to server administrators only and will override user preferences if changed from the default.
